A One of our greatest assets is problem solving. We have the skill and expertise to both define and solve almost any challenge standing in the way of our church - partner's ability to be able to move forward in the process.
We also incorporate outstanding Risk Management Services which are complementary. This enables the client to view, at no up-front charge, the custom floor plans, elevations, site plan and specifications of their project so they may determine the project feasibility - on our nickel.

Q IS IT CHEAPER TO BUILD A STEEL BUILDING THAN OTHER TYPES? A Yes. It could be but that is not always the rule. Sometimes it is more expensive. The rule of thumb is to incorporate the use of steel if the structural clear span is over 69'0 feet. At that point we would recommend, 100% of time, that a steel building be utilized - and the steel building would be cheaper!

|
Q ARE CHURCHES REQUIRED TO HAVE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS?
A Not necessarily. Sprinkler systems are dictated by the International Building code and the National Fire Prevention Code.
Certain Religious Facilities are exempt under these codes .

A
We primarily utilize subcontractors from our APPROVED VENDOR LIST. These subs work for us on a continual basis, job after job and must submit a winning bid.
|
Q HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN & CIVIL ENGINEERING?
A
Once you have given your final approval for the floor plan / elevations / and parking schematics Church Design & Construction will deliver an entire and complete set of working drawings in 120 days.
It should be noted though that the County review process is not included in this 120 days. We have no control on how long they, the County, holds a set of plans. Sometimes we feel that it is an inordinate amount of time though.
NOTE: Our suggestion is that you start the design process 12 months before you actually wish to break ground.
|

Many churches have a need to know whether or not their project has the ability to move forward prior to investing money. Church Design & Construction, Inc. - as your Partner - offers to you the ability to do away with the worrisome fears concerning initial monetary outlay by giving to the church partner certain risk management tools, such as a complementary floor plan, elevations and site plans. This allows the church to have resources to determine project cost and feasibility up front. We take care of our church partners on the front end!!

How are we able to guarantee this?? A couple of ways, including actually taking the cost out of our profit if it be necessary - all so we can live up to the agreements made in our guaranteed fixed sum / no cost overrun section of the Contract.

Q HOW MUCH PER SQUARE FOOT DOES IT COST TO BUILD A CHURCH?
A There are too many variables to be able to price a church project by the square foot so we elect not to give you misleading or false information.
These variables include but are not limited to;
- Amount of excavation,
- Amount of parking to be required by County,
- Whether utilities are public or private,
- Type of building to be erected,
- Amount of classroom space,
- Whether the building is required to be sprinkled or not.
NOTE:
One thing that we can say though is that it's not any cheaper per square foot to build a new church than it is per square foot to buy a new house.
|
Q IF YOU PERFORM BOTH THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION WHERE ARE THE CHECKS AND BALANCES?
A Church Design & Construction proudly performs the entire scope of your process. During the process there are several others, who do not work for us, who will serve as monitors.
